Latrobe Regional Hospital has recently undergone a $73 million development which includes a brand new, state of the art, Emergency Department. The well-equipped newly completed ED with 24 points of care and a 12 bed short stay unit, is supported by an onsite Cardiac Catheter Lab, and Intensive Care Unit.
We are now calling for applicants who are interested in full time or part time contracts to work as an Emergency Department Physician at Latrobe Regional Hospital. Interested Fellows of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEMs) and Final Year Fellowship examination candidates are encouraged to apply.
Latrobe Regional Hospital is a 289 bed teaching hospital that provides a range of medical and specialty services within the Gippsland region, less than 2 hours from Melbourne. On site speciality support is provided for intensive care, cardiac catheter lab, general medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, geriatric, rehabilitation and cancer care services. Latrobe Regional Hospital has close links with Monash University.

You will be working as part of our highly professional and enthusiastic team of specialists, junior medical staff and nursing staff providing emergency services. Latrobe Regional Hospital is the regional trauma centre with a helicopter on site, and has approximately 34,000 attendances per year in the Emergency Department. We have a friendly team oriented environment and good support from the hospital clinical and administrative units.
